The Story Behind Of Our Movement
In 1997, Uganda, represented by Ronald Busiinge, Harunah Walusimbi, and Moses Serwadda, attended the International Earth Day Summit in the Philippines as guests of Earthsavers Movement. Winning the festival, Uganda became global ambassadors for International Earth Day, and upon returning, the trio conceived the idea of turning their historic journey into a living memorial for sustainable development. To achieve this, they formed an NGO, Earthsavers Movement Uganda Chapter, registered in 1997 and subsequently renewed. Currently, the organization is registered as a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee
